Huntington News -----Prom - A Night To Remember

"The DJ was highly lauded by nearly everyone, and the students found the music to be great. I myself was on the dance floor for most of the night, reaffirming that I really can't dance. However, I thoroughly enjoyed humiliating myself, because it still proved to be fun. The floor was so crowded most of the time, that there was barely any room to move around from place to place.
The DJ played a steady stream of upbeat, mostly new songs ranging from Usher's ridiculously popular "Yeah" to a classic of my time, The Village People's "YMCA". Regardless of the song, nearly everyone was up on the floor, dancing the night away. People stayed on until the clock struck midnight, then the lights came on and everyone filed out. As people departed however, nearly everyone agreed that the night was one that they would not soon forget.
All in all, prom proved to be a very successful and fun event, and students reactions were consistent. "I really enjoyed it", says junior Samantha. Commenting on the night as a whole.
"The music was way good. I could for sure get my groove on," commented junior Katia, praising the DJ for his varied and successful mix of music. Prom wound up being a big hit with the students, something that HBHS will build off of for it's ensuing dances.
