Questions a buyer should ask when shopping for a pop up

 Frame 

  1. Does the frame come with an UNCONDITIONAL "no questions asked" warranty? 
  2. Does it have a Heavy Duty load bearing frame?  The Energy Pop-Up can support up to 500 pounds.
  3. Does it have aircraft grade extruded aluminum?  Don't be tricked into thinking a heaper fiberglass frame is better!
  4. Does it have 1/2" diameter tubing?
  5. Does it have 1/16" gauge wall thickness?
  6. Does it use recycled or new aluminum (recycled aluminum compromises strength and integrity and look "cheap")? 
  7. Is the frame field serviceable and modular (meaning that it can be repaired or reconfigured with a single screwdriver)?
  8. Does the frame have high quality aluminum connectors that lock the frame in place so it can be used with or without channel bars (not plastic connectors or outdated and unattractive springs like other systems)?

Channel Bars

  1. Are the channel bars made from extruded aluminum?
  2. Do the channel bars come with high energy magnetic tape for maximum bond with fabric or graphic panels?
  3. Do the channel bars come with predrilled holes for internal or external shelving (some manufacturers charge you more for these upgraded channel bars!)
  4. Do the channel bars have removable components so they are field serviceable (an emergency repair kit comes with every system we sell!)
  5. Do the channel bars have block out technology to prevent unwanted backlight from filtering through the back of the display?
  6. Do the channel bars lock onto the frame providing extra strength to the system?  The Energy pop up has an exclusive slide 'n' lock channel bar system ensuring a perfectly level frame with unsurpassed strength.

Hubs

  1. Do they use high strength engineered POM plastic with physical properties comparable to cold-rolled steel?  Other system use cheaper plastics or nylon.
  2. Do the hubs come with an attractive and durable textured gloss finish?
  3. Are the hubs color coordinated with the channel bars for a great look and ease of set up?
  4. Are the hubs field serviceable using just a phillips screw driver?
  5. Do extra hubs come in the emergency repair kit?

Case

  1. Can the lid be used as a convenient step stool?
  2. Does it come with a special compartment that protects the lights during shipping?
  3. Is the case compartmentalized to protect graphic and fabric panels from the frame and channel bars during shipping?
  4. Does the case come with 4 industrial strength locks ensuring that the contents are protected during shipping (if one latch does break the lid still remains intact).
  5. Does the case include Hi-impact rubber wheels that are indestructible and easy to roll?
  6. Does the case have 2 built in handles for easy handling?
  7. Does if offer an optional case to counter conversion kit?

Accessories

  1. Can you purchase optional accessories now or in the future such as:
    • Monitor shelves that support up to 100 pounds of weight? 
    • Lighted internal shelf kits?
    • Reversible external shelves (can be used as a flat display shelf or a slanted literature shelf)?
    • Back-lit bridge kit?
    • Header Frames?
    • Case to counter conversion kits?
    • Or different lighting options such as, incandescent and/or halogen? 

Fabric Panels

  1. Are the fabric panels made from the #1 rated Frontrunner Fabric?  (Frontrunner is a tradeshow quality Velcro compatible fabric for maximum life and durability)
  2. Do they use exclusive "seam free" hanging hardware that guarantees perfect panel alignment with no effort?
  3. Are the panels "self-aligning" for effortless set up?
  4. Are the panels built with exclusive High Energy magnetic tape?
  5. Are the panels reinforced with hanging hardware on the top and kick plates on the bottom to protect from damage?

Emergency Repair Kit

  1. Does the system come with an Emergency Repair kit that includes the following (a modular and field serviceable display means no costly down time during an exhibition)?
  2. Extra 200 watt bulb for emergency repair kit?
  3. Extra components for frame and channel bars?
  4. Can the components be replaced or repaired with a phillips screwdriver?

Graphics

  1. Do they print on exclusive titanium film?  Our titanium film is a custom extrusion of DuPont Tejin Melinex WLDÒ film, made exclusively for Kentmere at 12 mil.  Has a titanium stop-light layer co-extruded within the film, ensuring bright saturated displays even in strong, mixed lighting.  This manufacturing technique also offers the toughest, most dimensionally stable solution for Pop-Ups.
  2. Do they use Lexan Polycarbonate UV laminate for the graphics?  Lexan is the ideal laminate for pop-up booths and exhibit back walls.  Protac Polycarbonate UV is used in conjunction with Titanium Films to create rigid, yet rollable graphic panels.
